JUNGIAN PSYCHOANALYSIS · THE NETHERLANDS AND ONLINE
What emerges when we attend closely enough?
Sometimes, life outgrows its familiar shape. You might notice a shift in your relationships, the return of an old habit, or physical symptoms of stress, anxiety or depression. It might be as subtle and undefinable as a nagging feeling or a deep longing. All we do know, is that life cannot continue as it used to.
I offer Jungian psychoanalysis in Dutch and English, in person and online, with a particular focus on women moving through defining transitions in their lives.

A different way of listening
The immediate difficulty matters, and so does the deeper question it may be carrying: what has been protected, silenced or left unlived, and what is now asking for our attention?
We are layered and many-sided, shaped by personal experience as well as inherited and collective patterns. Dreams, images, relationships and recurring situations can bring these different layers into view, widening our understanding of ourselves and of the world in which our lives are embedded.
Jungian psychoanalysis makes room for what arises along the way. Rather than moving directly towards a predetermined solution, we stay with an experience long enough to understand what it protects, what it asks of us and what may be trying to develop through it. Body, imagination, feeling and thought all belong to this process.
Work with me
A psychological process that attends to both the difficulties of everyday life and the deeper movements of the psyche. Sessions are available in Dutch and English, in person in Vorden and Zutphen, and online.

Working with women
I work particularly with women whose existing ways of living, relating or understanding themselves no longer hold. This may arise around sexuality, work, motherhood, relationships, loss, (peri)menopauze, existential questions, or a transition that has disturbed an established identity.
Sandplay Therapy
When experience has not yet found words, Sandplay may complement Jungian analysis through image, symbol and the physical movement of the sand. It is offered to adults in person.
I am a Jungian Analyst and Sandplay therapist in training, working in Dutch and English. My approach has developed through more than fifteen years of study, practice and research across behavioural neuroscience, ecology and Jungian psychology. This allows me to work with clinical clarity while remaining open to the symbolic, creative and mystical dimensions of the psyche.
I work with women and men, with a particular focus on women between mid-twenties and mid-sixties who are moving through defining changes in their lives.
Meet Suzanne Schreve
“After engaging in several forms of therapy, including treatment within mental health services, my work with Suzanne was the first to reach the depth I had been seeking. Her Jungian approach is complemented by clarity, attentiveness and genuine care.”
Beginning Jungian analysis
You do not need to arrive with a complete account of what is wrong. A brief introductory conversation offers space for your questions and allows us to consider whether working together would be suitable.
Sessions take place in Dutch or English, in Vorden, Zutphen or online.
